Learn how to set up a Spotify account for use in your funeral service location. This account will be used to help create personalized playlists for funeral events and services.

Go to open.spotify.com

1. Click “Sign up”

Click on the “Sign up” button to create a new account on Spotify.

2. Enter your facility’s email address.

If you have one, it’s best to use a group distribution email assigned to your facility instead of your individual email address. Spotify will send you an email to confirm your account, so enter an email you can access.

3. Enter a password

Click on the text box labeled “Create a password” to enter a password for your account.

4. Enter your funeral home’s name as the profile name.

Use the name of your funeral home as your profile name. This is how Spotify publicly displays your profile. Using the name of your location makes it easy for clients to find you.

5. Fill out the required fields and accept the terms of service.

6. Click “Sign up” to create your account.

7. Click “Install App”

IMPORTANT: To use Spotify with Soundtrack, you must download the Spotify app to your computer. While a browser version of Spotify is available, it lacks some of the features you’ll need for this program.

8. Click “Get our Free App” and follow the instructions

9. Home screen indicates successful Spotify download.

When you reach the home screen, it means you’ve successfully downloaded the Spotify app to your computer.

1. Adding the Dignity Memorial Logo to Your Profile

Adding the Dignity Memorial logo will make it easier for families to find you on Spotify, and it will add a level of professionalism and comfort to the experience for the family.

2. Click here to expand the dropdown

Open up the Spotify application and click on the user icon to expand a dropdown menu.

3. Click “Profile”

Access your profile by clicking on the “Profile” tab.

4. Click “Choose photo”

Select a photo for your profile by clicking on “Choose photo”. (Note: If you need to download the logo, use the button above)

5. Navigate to the Dignity Memorial logo optimized for Spotify.

6. Click “Save” Your Logo is now added!

Click on the save button and your logo is now added to your profile.

9. Click “Account”

Access your account settings by clicking on “Account” tab.

Adjust your notification settings, by clicking on the tab called “Notification settings”.

11. Uncheck all the boxes

12. Click “Save”

14. Turn Off “Tailored Ads”

Click on the green toggle to turn off tailored ads.

Use this toggle to turn off Facebook data.

16. Tip: You can recover a Spotify playlist if you accidentally delete one.
